Your Voice, Their World

India is home to the world's largest number of visually impaired people. Of the 37 million visually impaired across the globe, over 15 million are from India. They have limited access to the world of poetry. What is poetry if not sung or recited? What use are words if not spoken from the depths of the heart? - Thus, this project aims to contribute towards making poems accessible to them.

Welcome to Your Voice, Their World.

Brought to you by OMRON in association with the National Association for the Blind, Delhi, it is a rare initiative that aims to create the world’s largest audio-library of poems for the visually impaired. All that a contributor has to do is log on to the website, choose from a selection of pre-recorded poems or one from his own collection and record.

This year the initiative takes on a new avatar in partnership with eBay India as #PayWithYourVoice to create something the world has never seen - the newest form of currency – your voice. Starting 5th October, people can log on to, record a poem and earn gift vouchers from eBay thus allowing them to #PayWithYourVoice.

So go ahead, give wings to words and enrich the lives of millions.
